About Dr. Artem Kozhechenkov, MD

Born and raised in Tiraspol, Moldova, Dr. Artem trained in Russia: a degree in General Surgery from the Samara Military Medical Academy in 2010, followed by a residency in Ophthalmology at the Military Medical Academy of St. Petersburg in 2012.

Before relocating to Vietnam, Dr. Artem practised at eye clinics in Vladivostok and Moscow. In 2021 he was appointed Head of Diagnostics and Refractive Specialist at a private eye clinic in Moscow. Since spring 2022 he has practised as a refractive ophthalmologist in Vietnam, where he focuses on careful diagnosis, refractive assessment, and the considered consultations that European-trained clinicians are known for.

To date, Dr. Artem has cared for more than 60,000 patients across his career, including over 15,000 in Vietnam. Patients describe him as thorough and easy to talk to — the kind of doctor who explains what he sees on a scan and what it means for you, in plain language.

Dr. Artem's path runs through some of Russia's best-known military medical academies: General Surgery at Samara, Ophthalmology residency in St. Petersburg,  refractive training thereafter. His clinical focus today is refractive evaluation and the careful, imaging-led diagnosis of common and complex eye conditions.

Dr. Artem completed his medical degree in General Surgery in 2010 and went on to specialty training in Ophthalmology two years later. He continued his subspecialty education with advanced cataract surgery training in 2019.
