Additional Procedures
Sometimes during an examination, it may become evident to the ophthalmologist that additional tests are needed, either immediately or at a follow-up appointment. For instance, corneal topography is performed if keratoconus is suspected, more detailed optical coherence tomography (OCT) may be necessary for diabetic patients or those with macular diseases, biometry may be needed to assess and monitor myopia progression, or other procedures such as visual fields or pupillometry may be required in cases of sudden vision reduction or loss. Fees for these procedures are billed in addition to the consultation fee. Please see below for further details on these additional fees.
